The Hattie Allen Foundation (HAF) has launched a virtual tech hire summer program that aims to create new career pathways for the youth and enhance their skills in the information technology industry.
The launch comes after American multinational technology company Microsoft announced that that foundation was chosen as one of 50 organizations to participate in the Microsoft program to accelerate job training and digital skills in the Black and African-American communities.
HAF TechHire youth summer program will provide financial support, leadership development, and technology enablement over the next three years to support digital skills and workforce development opportunities in the community.
Bootcamp participants may qualify if they are: Miami Dade or Broward County residents; Between the age of 15 – 24 years old; and residing in an underserved community or living in a household below poverty lines.
