Our mission is to bring awareness to the disability caused by Osteogenesis Imperfecta and break down the subsequent limitations through fitness, motivation, and progression!
Amariah Joy has Type III OI, which is a severe type that results in low bone mass, short stature, and extreme bone frailty. She has broken her bones several times, and this has resulted in several surgeries. Her surgeries help straighten her legs and strengthen her bones: rods are inserted to provide Ami more stability to walk. Though it has been a long journey, Amariah has remained focused and tried a plethora of techniques to gain the strength to break barriers. This has led her to be able to walk, although many individuals with Type III are not able to. Over the 12 years of her life, Ami has come to know her body to achieve new goals in her rehabilitation. Ami has not only pushed her personal limits, but she has defied all expectations that were placed on her by OI.
We are Presenting a Golf tournament to support Amariah’s Wings and the OI Foundation on Saturday June 26th at the Miami Springs Country Club. Please feel free to reach out to Boomer Bray with any questions (305) 496-7171 or email at Amariahswings1@gmail.com
